Born in Nottingham 13/11/88. Son of Mrs MAP Peach of 24 Elm Ave, Nottingham in June 1919. In his will his address is given as 24 Elm Ave, Nottingham £576 12s 5d. His commission application for the TF, dated 28/8/15, states that he was educated at Westbridgford School, address for correspondence as above, occupation hardware salesman, height 5' 8", he was serving as a Cadet in North Nottingham University College OTC. (Officers Papers PRO);

Other Notes: PEACH, Second Lieutenant, ERNEST JAMES, 7th Bn. Sherwood Foresters (Notts and Derby Regt.) attd. 139th Coy Machine Gun Corps (Inf). 1st July 1916. Age 28. Son of Samuel and Mary Ann Prudence Peach, of 24, Elm Avenue, Nottingham. Pier and Face 10 C 10 D and 11 A Thiepval Memorial - Somme, France.;
