Samuel Hennell refers to Justin Sheil's letter of 8 October 1850, which instructed Hennell to dimiss Mirza Mahmood from his post as Agent at Shiraz. Hennell informs Sheil that he has sent a communication to Mirza Mahmood, dismissing him from his position and requesting that he make over the records of his office to his replacement, Mirza Fusl Oollah. Hennell states that he has written to Mirza Fusl Oollah, informing him of his appointment as Government Agent upon trial, pending the result of Sheil's reference to the Supreme Government.
