Mortgage from George Ferrers of Baddesley Clinton esq. to Francis Willughby of Cossall [Cossal], co. Northampton gent. of lands called the Barne field, Moote field, Lint field, Lodge field, Fower fields, Mill field adjoining the Walleis, Great Walleis, Milking yard, Mill meadow, Deere meadow, Parke meadow, Black meadow, the meadow adjoining Roxall pool head in the occupation of John Shakespeare, the close on the said of Roxall pool in the occupation of William Greene, the close at Roxall pool tail in the occupation of Peter Shakespeare Great Heathy field on Baddesley Hill or Common and one acre of meadow in Carters meadow, these last two parcels being purchased from John Wherritt by Edward Ferrers, grandfather of the said George, in the occupation of Edward Edkins, a cottage, meadow and garden lately in the occupation of Henry Boulton, a cottage garden and part of the inclosed common in the occupation of Edward Sydes, several lands leased to Richard Burtonwood, Richard Woodhams, William Knight, Humphrey Woofe, William Avery and John Becke in Baddesley. Also a messuage and lands in the occupation of Susan Short widow, Thomas Windmill her brother, Josuah Mills and Humphrey Woofe in Baddesley Clinton, Kingswood, Packewood, Knowle, Rowington and Lapworth. To hold the same for 1,000 years for a peppercorn rent, the same to be void upon repayment by the said George to the said Francis on 14 February 1670 of £179 4s. and £50 together with other sums of money borrowed from the said Francis with interest at 6%.
