These drawings are enclosed in a covering paper on which is written a note by William Snow Harris: "Figures & Diagrams referred to in No 2, 3.4 etc perhaps often". At the top of the page is written "No 15" in red pen.
Figures 1-19, 21, 23-24, 26-27, 30-31, two unnumbered.
A useful list matching figures to the corresponding manuscript is supplied in Maxwell 1879, pxlii: 1-10 in HY/1/4, 11 in HY/1/3, 12-13 in HY/1/7, 14-19 in HY/1/9, 20-27 in HY/1/10, 30 in HY/1/9 and 31 in HY/1/8.
