80 horse power double-acting crank engine, with 44 inch cylinder, 7 foot stroke, parallel motion, [cast iron beam, cast iron connecting rod].Reverse plan and sections of the engine and boiler houses and 5 boilers, plan of the tunnel; additional pillars to hold down the main plummer blocks - partially coloured drawing; plan of the premises on tracing paper, showing mill, workshops, cottages, warehouse etc. with a 30 horse and a 24 horse engine marked on; sketch plan and section of the boiler house and 5 boilers; sketch plan on tracing paper showing the arrangement of the steam pipes, with 30 horse engine marked "Bowling Co." shown alongside the 80 horse engine, Jun. 1826; The reverse drawings bear letter codes.
Also 2 small sheets stuck together, with rough pencil sketches for new piston and rod and eduction socket pipe marked "brought to Soho by H. Wilcox 1 Apr. 1847."Original Portfolio or 'Book' No. 792. Catalogue of Old Engines p. 102.
For John Wood Jr. Worsted spinning and weaving mill, Bradford, Yorkshire. See Portfolio 5/508 for the second 80 horse engine installed at the mill and drawings of the mill. The firm later became Wood & Walker, and later Walker & Co.
