20 horse power double-acting engine, with 24 inch cylinder, 5 foot stroke, parallel motion.
Coloured original general view and plans of the engine and boiler and blowing cylinder, cross-section of the boilers, front view of the engine; reverse plans and sections of the engine house and boilers, drawings of the cistern; parallel motion - coloured original drawings; blowing cylinder, lid and bottom - reverse plans and sections; blowing cylinder and pipes - partially coloured original and reverse drawings; valve box - reverse drawings; working gear - coloured original and reverse drawings. All the drawings bear letter codes.
Original Portfolio or 'Book' No. 395. Catalogue of Old Engines p. 270.
For The Union Co. Rumney, Monmouthshire. The drawings originally made for Jessons & Wright's engine at Barnets Leasowe [see Portfolio 5/681] were re-used for this engine, hence the absence of reverse views of the engine.
