Description

1. Sir Vincent Corbett of Morton Corbett knight and baronet, and Dame Sarah his wife.

2. William Methwold of London Esq. and Roger Kilvert of London merchant.

3. Henry Perrin citizen and innholder of London, and Elizabeth his wife.

William Fremlyn late of London merchant (brother of Elizabeth) by his will dated 10 January 1645 gave her as Elizabeth Moore widow £2000 on condition that she and a surety should become bound to his executor, William Methwold, in £3000 for payment of the sum at her death (if childless) to the children of his other sister Susan Hunsden. Perrin and his wife brought a bill in Chancery against Methwold to recover the £2000 and after delays Sir Vincent Corbet has agreed to mortgage his land for the £2000 and be the surety required. A fine and recovery were levied and suffered in Easter term last on 14 messuages, 100 acres land, 303 acres meadow, 100 acres pasture and 70 acres wood.

Indenture approved by WlHalewit, Master in Chancery, as in accordance with the order. 4 June 1649.
