Most of the material, collected as a result of Jim Cattermole's role as a Labour Party ograniser, was deposited in 1973 per Professor M Anderson. Items formerly owned by George Deer, MP (MSS.9/6) were deposited in 1974 by his son, Kenneth Deer.
