3 Notes on later deeds of the Bunkers Hill Estate, [1899-1971]
Bunkers Hill Farm was assembled between 1957 and 1971, the first conveyance itself a purchase of three titles acquired by the vendor between 1944 and 1946. Only deeds regarded by the depositor as being of historic interest are present: those of Goodsoal Farm (AMS 6779/1) covering 1352-1728 and the deeds of Bunkers Hill Farmhouse, formerly a Burwash Parish poorhouse (AMS 6779/2) dating from 1836-1865).
The later deeds of the property, which clarify the dates and manner of acquisition of the different parts of the farm and of the deeds listed as AMS 6779/1-2, have not been deposited and their present whereabouts are unknown.
They were examined in the 1980s by Derrick Steward of Highclere, Burwash Common, whose notes have been re-arranged and listed as AMS 6779/3.
