1. A series of turbo starter tests has been completed satisfactorily at the Cold Chamber at the RAE using turbo starter arrangements suitable for both the Hunter and Javelin installations. Sa.7 engine (Sa.402) has completed its acceptance test. Double Mamba engines: We seem to have cleared the main trouble in the reduction gear. Viper engine: The first Viper engine has been delivered to Australia. A Viper engine has been installed in the tail of our Lancaster flying test bed. Plans are now in hand for a development version of the Viper to last 100 hours especially for use in the Avro Rocket Interceptor fighter
