The files may be broadly arranged under the following categories:. administrative arrangements of consular districts; diplomatic relations with Iran; recruitment, appointments and conditions of employment of staff at HM Vice-Consulates, Consulates, and Embassies in Iran, Iraq, and in the Persian Gulf; sale of land, building maintenance, budgets and expenditures; telecommunications, postal services, purchase of cars and launches; . There is also documentation relating to the transfer of the Political Residency in the Persian Gulf from Bushire to Bahrain (IOR/L/PS/12/3552-3555).
