Hugh Johns and James Seymour, both of Kenwyn, labourers; acquitted of two charges of obtaining money under false pretences.

James Skewis and wife, Charity; indicted for stealing 10 sheaves of barley, value 6d., from John Ellis: discharged, following return of bill of ignoramus.

Thomas Dowrick; committed at last sessions for running away and leaving his family chargeable to Veryan: to be discharged, having entered into a security to indemnify the parish.

Surveyor (east) to repair Boyton bridge.

Surveyor (west) to repair St Blazey bridge, and remove gravel below it.

Two gaol and marshalsea rates to be levied and paid to Samuel Hext, gent., Vice-Treasurer.

One bridge rate to be levied and paid to John Truscott, gent., Surveyor (west).

£500 having already been paid towards discharge of debt of £2,950 incurred in building new jail, 4 jail rates to be levied to pay off a further part of the debt.

Because of the great cost to the county of conveying prisoners to the jails and bridewell, magistrates urged to be strict in examining and allowing such charges to the constables.
