Description

Collection of 153 loose coloured and black and white postcards of India and elswewhere, collected by Lady Deverell, wife of Field Marshall Sir Cyril Deverell. Various processes are represented, from original photographic prints to photogravure and screened half-tone reproductions. The following are the main geographical locations represented in the collection: Lucknow, Lahore, Darjeeling, Poona, Agra, Bombay, Belgaum, Karachi, Delhi, Simla, Calcutta, Quetta and North-West Frontier, Ceylon, Aden, Port Said.
