Records relating to, or collected by, the Worsley family of Appuldurcombe, Isle of Wight.

The Worsley manuscripts contain many important items relating to the history of the Isle of Wight, including a 16th century cartulary of Carisbrooke Priory. The collection also includes a number of items of national significance, most notably a memoranda of deliveries from Henry VIII's wardrobe, dated 1520-1525, and a series of accounts of the Queen's Privy Purse, 1663-81. There are also items of international interest, including travel journals relating to Europe and the Middle East, 1687-1796, and the letters and accounts of Henry Worsley, Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the King of Portugal, 1714-1723.

The records were deposited by the 6th Earl of Yarborough, having come into the possession of his family through the marriage of Charles Andrew Pelham (1st Earl) to Henrietta Bridgeman Simpson, niece and heir at law of Sir Richard Worsley, baronet.
