Folio 109. Draft letter from The Local Government Board to James Saunders, Clerk to the East Dereham Local Board in the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union, enclosing notice of a local inquiry to be held by one of their Inspectors at East Dereham on 11 March 1885, in relation to the application of the East Dereham Local Board for a provisional Order under the Gas and Water Works Facilities Act 1870, 33 & 34 Vic c 70 [Not included]. It requests that the notice is advertised in one or more local newspapers circulating in the district and that a copy of the said newspaper is sent to them to satisfy that 10 days clear notice was given as required in the aforementioned act. Printed notices to be posted in the locality will be forwarded presently.
