Made 18 June 1742 proved Archdeaconry of Richmond 13 September 1745. Bequests include :- to son John Benson for ever all lands, tenements and hereditaments in Barbon, paying all just debts and legacies;
- Should annuity of £4 to daughter Jane Benson for life not be paid by said John Benson, daughter may enter upon these three fields or inclosures of ground called Great Mire, Brown Reddin and Little Bond Rigg in Barbon which testator bequeathes to her.
Executor: son John Benson.
Witnesses: Richard Burton, Agnes Burton.
Endorsements:- receipt, 13 May 1761 for £40 paid, by John Benson in equal payments, this being the tenth and last, to William Willson, witnessed by Henry Dod;
