Folios 280-285. Letter from James Saunders, Clerk to the East Dereham Local Board in the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union, to the Local Government Board. He encloses the newspaper, dated 4 November 1879, circulating in the district of East Dereham, in which the notice of intended reappointment on 13 November 1879, of the Medical Officer of Health and Inspector of Nuisances to the East Dereham Local Board appeared. However the reappointments were not made on that date as there was not a quorum of members present at the meeting, which as a result under a byelaw of the meeting had to be adjourned until 26 November 1879. On the 26 November 1879 the reappointments were duly made, with a copy of the resolution made on that date placed on the particulars of the reappointment on the enclosed forms. He seeks the Board's sanction to the reappointments.
