The Borough of Glossop was established in December 1866. Until at least 1855 Glossop was within the jurisdiction of the High Peak magistrates.
Glossop Borough's area of jurisdiction included Dinting, Hadfield, Padfield, Simmondley and Whitfield.
This volume was deposited in Derbyshire Record Office in October 1987.
