Opened in 1850 at Ellesmere Street by the Wesleyan Association, which became part of the United Methodist Free Churches in 1857, and of the United Methodist Church in 1907. Closed in 1958, and subsequently sold to the Runcorn New Town Development Corporation. The Society then united with that of Runcorn St. Paul's Chapel (Ref. EMS 111) to form the Society of St. Paul's with Ellesmere Street.
