Description

Loose unmounted uncaptioned prints. One print has the name 'Sir William Beardsell' on the verso and another has the initials 'W.A.B.'. Photographs include a bangle seller, portraits of two women, a rural scene and two topographical views. Sir William Arthur Beardsell (1865-1940) was a merchant in Madras from 1887 and held the office of Sheriff in 1918-19. His entry in Who was who lists one of his recreations as photography. Process = Sepia toned gelatine silver prints. Photographers = Sir William Arthur Beardsell.,;.
