30 horse power double-acting sun & planet engine, with 28? inch cylinder, 6 foot stroke, parallel motion, cast iron beam, cast iron connecting rod.
Coloured original and reverse general view and plan of the engine and boilers (the reverse plan has the situation of a 14 horse power engine in 1814 added in); reverse plan and sections of the engine and boiler houses and framing (one of these drawings is on the back of an unfinished watercolour painting showing a castle and waterfall); cistern - reverse drawing marked "Copy of this for Daniel Lees…"; parallel motion - reverse drawing; working gear - coloured original front and side views.
Also undated [1814?] plan of the engine and boilers showing connection to mill and situation of new engine and new mill. All the drawings except the last item bear letter codes.Original Portfolio or 'Book' No. 441. Catalogue of Old Engines p. 36.
