Description

Copy of a spiritual will of Ann Fenwick of 11 Apr. 1775 'and her Instructions as to the Application of whatever monies remain after her death to be distributed' by Thomas Hornyold and Thomas Butler, i.e. of the £2,000 left to Thomas Hornyold £400 to go to Douai College for an establishment to educate a boy, £100 to Bishop Challenor, £100 to the school at Hammersmith where her mother was taught, £500 for 'that poor unfortunate youth' Thomas Brogden provided he shows no 'bad dispositions', £600 for the education of the daughters of Mr Charles Ingilby provided none of them turns Protestant; with many other smaller bequests to named funds and individuals; £200 each to Thomas Hornyold and Thomas Butler for their trouble in executing the will; instructions for the sale or distribution of household and personal goods; the requirement that the instructions in her previous spiritual will of 19 Sep. 1767 (RCHY 2/1/59) be carried out, should there by sufficient money after the payment of legacies
