50 J. Claus (Amsterdam) to Theodore Eccleston Has heard nothing of the captives ; Jews are likely to help since they expect to profit by release of captives - Methods of treating differences of opinion in meetings with silence one Friend has been very desperate for some time & now seems to be a disciple of G[eorge] K[eith] ... - Peter Van Raat desires to know whether Wm. Crouch has received any goods from Virginia by order of J. du Plourgs of Pennsylvania: the poor man loses much by means of friends in Pennsylvania. Requests 15 books (mainly about Penn.) to be sent.
