Administrative / biographical background

Opened in 1871 at Halton Road by the Wesleyan Methodists (replacing Runcorn, Zion Chapel). Closed in 1975 and subsequently sold, the congregation transferring to Wicksten Drive Christian Centre, a joint venture of the Methodist Church and the Church of England.
