1850s
Description

Collection of eight loose unmounted albumen prints and one salted paper print, from the collection of Stafford Bettesworth Haines; all but one are uncaptioned. The photographs are individual portraits of Indian men and women, including Parsees and musicians, probably all from Bombay. There is also an unidentified village scene. The photographs appear to be amateur work. The collection was originally accompanied by copy prints of paintings of Muscat and members of the Haines family. These have been transferred to the Kyberg Files in the Visual Arts Print Room.
