Glass slides and colour transparencies used to illustrate lectures to the (Royal) Central Asian Society and the Royal Society for Asian Affairs. In most cases, a copy negative and a low contrast 'postcard' print has been made for each slide. Lecture texts were published in either the Journal of the Central Asian Society, the Journal of the Royal Central Asian Society, or in Asian Affairs. In the main, dates for each slide Series have been given according to the date of the lecture, unless otherwise indicated.
