Description

Rev. J. Howlett, rector of Gt. Dunmow, to Richd. How II. Gives tableof Labourers' earnings & expenses, comparing periods 1669 to 1703 & 1780-7 (prices of wheat. peas, barley. malt, butter, cheese salt, candles, soap ... clothes, rent, etc., & wages) with estimate of amount due to a poor man in order to place him in the same condition he was in 100 years ago, taken from his Toppesfield Accounts. Asks for How's corrections re.Aspley Guise - Note about Parkison's Essay on the Impolicy of the Slave Trade.
