Sarah Lower; born at Seaford and aged 5 - 6 years went to live with her uncle Jesse Lower at Poplar Row, Lewes; on her mother re-marrying (Richard Jenner of Newhaven) she returned home; she was hired by John Barnett of South Heighton for 1½ years at £4 per annum when she went to live with a widow at Rottingdean for four months; returned to JB for a year at £5, then to Mr Thorp of Brighton at 6s per month for 14 months, Mrs Culling of Newhaven at 7s per month for 2 years and 3 months and [ ] Chatfield esq of Brighton for 3 months; she then worked for 9 - 10 months at the Old Ship, Brighton until admitted to Brighton Infirmary; on discharge she lived with her uncle Jesse Lower
