Hessle Cemetery was administered by the Hessle Burial Board, which was formed in 1863. The Cemetery was ran by Haltemprice Urban District Council from 1936 until responsibility for it was transferred to the East Yorkshire Borough of Beverley Council in 1974 and then East Riding of Yorkshire Council in 1996.
