'A Chart of the Road and Port of Juan Fernandez [Alejandro Selkirk]'. Chart shows coastline, hydrography, anchorages (Ships Tagus and Briton), topography, vegetation, settlements, military instillations, land marks, remarks and explanatory key. Manuscript. Watermark: 'Molineux Johnston & A Lee' with crest. Latitude and longitude referred to in remarks; north point with compass indicator (orientation to south). Scale: 4.9 inches to 3 miles. Attributed to Phillip Pipon, as suggested by Becher, annotations and endorsements. Annotated with brown ink: 'P [Phillip] Pipon, RN [Royal Navy] and 'No 13'. Endorsed with black ink: 'Received from Captn [Captain] P [Phillip] Pipon HMS Tagus, 23 November 1816' with stamp: 'Hydrographical Office'
