Description

Collection of 11 loose black-and-white gelatin silver prints, taken during the career of George Alfred David Cochrane (b. 1901), Indian Service of Engineers 1924-48. The groups all contain Cochrane himself, generally as the senior figure seated in the centre. The location and date of the majority of the photographs are recorded on the back of the prints and include the following places: Jabalpur (1929), Balaghat (September 1931), Kampti (November 1931), Raipur (1933?), Nagpur Secretariat (1938?), West Bengal Division (October 1940).
