Returned printed forms completed and signed by each Smallholder tenant recording full Cropping and Livestock details on land let by Beds. C.C. viz.acreage of each of the 27 listed crops, e.g. potatoes - seed and ware, lettuce in the open, beetroot, crops under glass, fodder beet (stockfeeding only) etc., plus other crops/fruit grown, number of livestock and yes/no answer to question posed- ' Is your main income obtained from this land? '.
Section for Office use at foot of the form records coded Ministry of Agriculture holding number ('01/-/-'; 01 = Beds./parish no./ holding no.) reference; name of tenant; holding category (non-commercial, intermediate and commercial); parish and acreage.These returns were used to provide the information basis for calculating the Standard Man Days figure per holding
Also includes correspondence files concerning tenants corn claims sent to the Ministry of Agriculture and smallholdings foul land regarding the Corn Production Acts.
