Description

Settlement whereby, having recited: firstly, that on 20th. Jan., 1885 Rowland Hill (of Coventry, watchmanufacturer) took out insurance policy no. 9462 with the Mutual Life Assurance Society for £1,000; and secondly, that Rowland Hill has agreed to make a settlement of furniture and the policy for his wife Amy Jane with Francis John Hill (of Liverpool, Lancs., ship broker) and James Sceats (of Tulse Hill, Surrey, winemerchant) as trustees: therefore for 10/- William Henry Hill assigns to Francis John Hill and James Sceats (a) household furniture in his dwelling ("Hearsall House", Chapelfields, Coventry; occupied by himself) and a substitution for such furniture not exceeding £1,000, and (b) the insurance policy, they investing moneys for him and his wife for life of the longer liver, then for children at majority or by default for next of kin.
