Description

Thanking Cooper for the reports from Howarth and Locking on Wilkie and Soames. He welcomes the report but is defending George Gray in his business decisions. The Lord expands at great length on the soap business, brand names and older Companies which he has has experience of in his lifetime of making and marketing soap. There are references to, Wonderful Washer, Lifebuoy, Woman's Friend, Housewife's Friend, Monkey Brand, Vinolia, Swan, Sunlight and Companies including Wilkie and Soames, Crosfield, Watsons, Benjamin Brooke, Hodgson and Simpson. August 28 1923
