Belmont, Shrewsbury, England Reply to Mr Bird from Mr W.W.
Barnaby. Mr Webster, decd., often spoke of Mr Bird and when W. called on him in his last few weeks of illness spoke of Mr Bird as amongst his most sincere friends. He was an able advocate and supporter of the protestant church in all his arguments, and a "devoted friend to every deed of charity". His son, James Baddeley Webster, is a most affectionate and dutiful son, brought up with a liberal education and at present engated in the law; has a proficient knowledge of music and plays the organ for Sunday services at a protestant church. They hope to go on receiving newspapers and should there be any sacred music publications for organ harmonium or piano James would like them. [Incomplete ?draft]
