36 horse power double-acting crank engine, with 30¾ inch cylinder, 6 foot stroke, parallel motion, [cast iron beam, cast iron connecting rod].
Also 60 horse engine that was never erected (coded K?), 1803.60 horse engine:
Coloured original longitudinal section of the engine house and cross-section of 3 boilers, plan of the engine house and boilers; pillars and plates, plummer block - reverse drawings; fly wheel - original and reverse drawings (the original is marked K 62); rough sketch plan of the engine and boiler houses by John Southern, 23 Mar. 1803; letter from Samuel Bridge dated Manchester, 26 Mar. 1803, with sketch plan of the premises. All the drawings except the last 2 bear letter codes.36 horse engine:
Reverse plan and sections of the engine house; sketch plan of the cylinder and condenser, with note from William Brunton to Abraham Storey dated Soho, 10 Mar. 1806 attached; sketch plan and elevation of the engine and 3 boilers, Feb. 1806. The engine house drawings bear letter codes.Original Portfolio or 'Book' No. 553. Catalogue of Old Engines p. 94.
For Samuel Bridge. Cotton mill [?], Manchester. According to the List of Engines made at Soho, this engine was being tenanted by Wilson Fairweather & Co. in 1809.
