Description (What the record is about)
-
Of George Singer (of Coventry, Warws.; bicycle- and tricycle-manufacturer) whereby he bequeaths £50 to his executor George Henry Hayward (of Coventry, hosier), and £200 and household goods to his own wife Eliza Ann; the testator leaves everything else to his wife (with a discretionary power on her behalf for G.H. Hayward) and at her death all will pass to their children (and issue), but the trustees may still keep money invested in the testator's business, allowing £5% p.a. interest on the capital (as will be calculated by stock-taking either made after any child (or issue)'s death or being the last compiled before G. Singer's decease), adding interest to the residuary estate.
1st. Feb., 1886. Draft codicil appointing the testator's brother-in-law James Charles Stringer (of 12 Jesson St., Coventry) executor in place of James Poole.
