Description

This deposit comprises a collection of family and parish records accumulated mainly by Wm. Davis, originally of Shepton Mallet, then of Doulting, (1795-1872) and his cousin, Wm. Davis of Sutton Nontis and Galhampton in N. Cadbury. The element of Doulting parish material reflects the work of the first named Wm. as overseer of the poor.
