Everard : None of Isabella's family knows where they are obtaining money. except her sister Nanny who at the beginning sent £20 into the country, & since her marriage How has not seen or heard from her. Mrs. Eccleston is absolutely inflexible, Isabella's uncle is less unreasonable, & her father willing to discuss matters. - Lists the punishments awaiting Everard if he returns. Has already advanced £260 & Lulofs needs another £100 immediately: "as my compassion hath carried me thus far my intrest will not allow me to forsake you now, for nothing but helping you will enable you to repav me." - "both of you be kind to Betty or my sister & self shall take it unkindly".
