'The East Coast of England, from Folkstone to Hasborough Gat; Including all the Channels of the River Thames Up to London’ and 'The Entrances of the River Thames'. Includes two insets : 1) ‘The River Thames from London to Leigh Road’. Includes an 'Index to the Reaches'. Orientation to north. Scale: 2.1 inches to 3 statute miles; 2.3 inches to 3 meridional miles; 2) ‘Ramsgate Harbour from the Plan of Mr Jno [John] Smeaton 1790’. Scale: 1.25 inches to 700 feet. Includes 7 views: 1) ‘View from the Gull stream’; 2) ‘Mark for the North part of the Kings Channel’; 3) ‘Orford High Light'; 4) ‘Orford Low Light’; 5) ‘View of the Coast of Suffolk’; 6) ‘View of East Ness, on the Coast of Suffolk'; 7) ‘View of Lowestoffe [Lowestoft]’. Chart and insets show coastline, hydrography, anchorages, buoys, jetties, preferred navigable channels, topography, vegetation, settlements, buildings, fortifications (including Dover Castle, Deal Castle and Sandown Castle), sight lines, land marks and remarks. Includes Cartouche. Printed. North point (orientation to the west) with compass indicator and magnetic north variation. 'Scale of Latitude in [Minutes?] or Meridional Miles'.
