This series consists of nearly fifty enquiries which are very similar in form to indictments but relate in most cases to enquiries held at or near the place where the offence occurred, with a specially empanelled jury to determine the validity of the case. Nearly all relate to riotous assembly and assault. Several concern unlawful breaking and entering and poaching and there are enquiries concerning the goods of criminals forfeit as a result of their felonious actions.
