Letter from Thomas Clark, Secretary, Lodge of Unanimity, No. 298, a Lieutenant in the West Middlesex Militia at Gosport, to Robert Leslie, Grand Secretary, explaining that he returned the Lodge warrant on 1 December 1797. In addition Clark sent three shillings for a membership certificate which he never received. An endorsement by Leslie indicates that the certificate was sent to Clark in April 1799.

Lodge of Unanimity received a warrant from the Antients' Grand Lodge as No. 298A on 9 February 1796 to meet in the West Middlesex Militia based in Dover, Kent. The Lodge ceased to meet in c.1799 and was erased. Some members may have helped to form a Lodge meeting in the Eighty Fifth Regiment of Foot, Jersey, granted a warrant as No. 298B on 1 January 1801 [SN 1379].
