On behalf of himself and Philip Hartley, manufacturer, his partner in trade, Mary Cooper of Saltcoats, widow, and George Parker, Joseph Goad, Isaac Dickinson and John Cranke, gents, all of Ulverston, concerning the repair of Saltcoats Embankment to stop the sea flowing up into Carters Pool and overflowing the land of the various parties. Work to be done under the supervision of Philip Hartley and George Parker, out of money paid by the parties in the proportions set out in an award made by John Harriman, Thomas Brockbank and William Marr. 20 Oct. 1814
