Description (What the record is about)
-
This sub-collection contains further research materials on individual artists and collections, but is not as substantial as that found in APO/1/1/-23 (the material more closely collected to Oppé's published work). It was mostly maintained separately by Oppé, some of it being scattered throughout his papers & brought together during the cataloguing process.
Each file covers a wide range of artists and/or collections, but the amount of material for each is usually compratively slight. The material is varied in format and includes:
-letters
-annotated booklets, exhibition catalogues and sales catalogues
-research notes (loose and in notebooks)
-published articles
