20 horse power side lever boat engine for land, with 26¾ inch cylinder, 2½ foot stroke.Reverse plan of the engine, side view of the engine (these drawings show the situation of the beam engine). Both sheets bear letter codes.
Original Portfolio or 'Book' No. 786. Catalogue of Old Engines p. 204.
For John Pooley & Son. Cotton mill [?], Manchester. The firm connected this engine to the 30 horse crank engine which they bought in 1823 [see Portfolio 5/482].
