Folios 313-314. 'Appointment of Schoolmaster', form for Charles William Eastoe as schoolmaster of the workhouse of the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union. The forms shows Eastoe of Litcham, had been a junior teacher. The salary to be £30 and such further sum as the Council of Education may award. The post became vacant after the resignation of Frank Roach the late schoolmaster. The guardians received testimonials from Reverend G W Winter of Litcham, Norfolk, W Barnes of Wells, Somerset and Mr Dalton of Barnstaple, Devon.
