Description (What the record is about)
-
The Palace, Hereford
The Bishop of Hereford to Mr. Swire.
Referring to Swire's letters of April 30th and May 24th he does not give up the hope of a reasonable divison of the parish and so cannot agree to the proposal to sell the Old Rectory and glebe and make Longden and Asterley a separate parish. He understands that Longden and Cruckton should for convenience go together. Could not a proposal be worked out on this basis?
