Folios 318-319. Draft letter from the Local Government Board, to C B L Norgate, Clerk to the East Dereham School Board in the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union. They convey that the Public Works Loans Commissioners signed on 18 September 1878, a certificate for an advance to the East Dereham School Board of £500 (part of £860) for the purposes of enlarging and improving the London Road Board school. Under the duties imposed on the Board by the Public Works Loans Act, 1875, [38 & 39 Vic c 89], in respect of such advances, they request to be furnished with a statement in the prescribed form, verified by a statutory declaration made by him or some other officer of the school board.
