30 horse power crank engine, with [29 inch cylinder], 5 foot stroke, parallel motion, [cast iron beam], cast iron connecting rod.Original and reverse "sketch" plan and longitudinal section of engine, Feb. 1839; reverse plan and sections of the engine, Mar. 1839; connecting rod, crank, shaft and plummer block, jackhead cold water pump - coloured reverse drawings. All the drawings bear letter codes.
Also the following drawings from alterations 1869-1870: 2 steam pressure/ vacuum diagrams, Oct. 1869 & Mar. 1870; 2 small sketches of parts of cylinder [?]; cam rods, bushes and nuts for cam rods, valve spindle arms, steam and exhaust valves; pencil drawing of cylinder, valves, rods etc.; steam and exhaust valves - partially coloured reverse drawing, Mar. 1870; plan of driving gear for new nozzles - partially coloured original and reverse drawings, Mar. 1870; small sketch of eduction pipe, May 1870. The reverse and original drawings of Mar. 1870 bear letter codes.Original Portfolio or 'Book' No. 921.
For William Stanton & Sons, Stafford Mills, near Stroud. This engine was omitted from the Catalogue of Old Engines.
