Records of Messrs. Sturgeon Bros. Ltd., of Stanton, described in 1937 directory as agricultural and motor engineers and threshing machine proprietors, contractors for steam cultivating, hauling and steam sawing and farmers. The majority of these records date from 1905 when the firm was reincorporated, until 1947 when they sold the Diss foundry of Swootman and Waveney which they had bought in 1939.
